Chapter fifty-four

Seth

I count to fifty before I storm out of the meeting room, barely fucking able to contain the rage that bitch from the academy set on fucking fire. I knew the academies were run by elitist assholes. I should have known it wouldn’t be so easy to get on their fucking guest list.

My shithead of a father isn’t going to stop me from getting to see my true mates.

I missed off his name because I knew it would fuck me over.

No one wants the offspring of a psychopath on their property. Add in my stature and my short fuse and they assume the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. I won’t be branded by my bloodline. I fucking refuse to let that happen.

And I’m not going five fucking years without seeing my mates.

I go down into student records and start going through the files on Alphas of my age.

There has to be some barely known new kid with a father I can use.

I take copies of a couple of promising files before I leave the room.

When I get to the front door, I stop and turn around.

As usual, the student records office is empty.

I go back and use one of the computers.

Do my research on the potential candidates and settle on a guy named John Green. He has a few bastards scattered around, but he hasn’t done anything illegal, and most importantly he’s out of the country unreachable for the next six months.

I don’t know if they’ll contact him to confirm I’m his, but I have plenty of time to set up a cell phone to divert his calls to if that seems like it’s going to happen.

Cassidy meets me in the hall when I’m about to go ask that bitch Fran for another guest form.

He raises an eyebrow at me, but he doesn’t ask.

“I’m getting another fucking form,” I tell him, heading back up the stairs.

The head bitch of the administration is on the phone when I storm back into her office.

She gives me an irritable glower and holds up her hand.

I come over and hang up her call. “Guest form. Now.”

Her glower deepens as she sets down the receiver. “That’s unacceptable behaviour…”

“Bullshit,” I mutter. The administration lets Alphas away with far worse.

I won’t even get a slap on the wrist for this. It’s not worth the school’s time.

She gets another form and thrusts it at me, her eyes flashing.

“Take it and leave.”

I pick a pen up from her desk and put the form down on the surface.

I glare at her until she backs down. She sits, and silently fumes.

I fill out the form and pass it back to her.

“Send this in. Now.”

She snatches it. I turn her monitor so I can see the screen. She glowers some more before she starts doing what I’ve told her to. I watch her scan the form and open an email. She puts in an address and a subject line before she attaches the file.

“Is that all?” she asks, after she’s hit send.
